WDSF Breaking for Gold

Part of the Hip-Hop Culture

25 Aug 2017 10:31

BoxWon and FIBA CommunicationsBoxWon is one of the eight b-boys in the line-up for the battles scheduled today as part of the 3x3 World Tour Masters Lausanne.

He was picked to do the interview with the FIBA Communications team in charge of producing the extensive coverage on the pool games and the knockout battles from 17:25 UTC/GMT.

Asked about the common ground between streetball and breaking, BoxWon pointed out that the same footwear is worn and that both belong to the hip-hop culture.

"You just look at the sneakers, the same styles are worn by players and b-boys," BoxWon said, "and without the music, neither game would be quite the same."
